What type of photographer are you?

Story first. All what I do is about the story. I make TV and video documentaries now, but have a background as photojournalist. It's the same game but different ways to play it. The core in both photojournalism and TV documentary is that the story and the way you interact with the people you tell stories about is the most important.

Where do you like to take pictures?

I like to be in environments that you normally dont have access to. It can be a working situation in an ordinary place, but interesting because of the work people are doing or it can be a very special place that no one is allowed to visit. It comes back to the story again. And as I said before - Story is always first.

Which products do you use daily?

I have two main cameras. The Canon Cinema EOS C200 and the Canon Cinema EOS C300mkII. The most used lens is my 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro. But I also use the 16-35mm f/2.8, the 50mm f/1.2L and the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS.

Could you tell us about a photo moment that you will never forget?

It's so hard to just choose one moment. I will rather say that I have many moments. But if I only had to choose one it was when I was in the middle of the Icecap of Greenland. Shooting in -25 and storm. The subject was a marathon!! Runners where running 42,195km in that enviroment. I totally forgot about the conditions and was just in it. It was such an extreme experience and resulted in severe frostbites but all worth it.

Could you give any advice to someone who wants to develop their skills in photography?

Practice .. and never stop learning and thats my mindset. I practice daily on new ways to solve problems. I always want to do better and keep finding things on former projects that I would love to improve.
